I don't know if its the energy that malachite has or its visual appeal, but I cant get enough of this stone. I dont care if its toxic when raw! In the semi recient past they have found deposits of malichite in many areas of the world, but if amazing lines and bold colors is what your looking for only the mine known as "the star of the congo" can raise to the chalange.
Known as the master of healing stones for a good reason I just cant say enough about this "rock".
Like any good rock hound its really hard for me to pick a favorite stone... but when i start naming my top rocks malachite ALWAYS makes the list.
From inflamation of stiff and sore muscles, to decontaminating most energy ports, this powerful stone is an unstoppable healing energy tool.
When selecting your piece to work with there are a couple things you should keep in mind.
As i mentioned, it IS toxic. the reason for this is that malachite is a copper based stone. anyone who has ever worn copper jewlery or had any small figurines made of the material knows about the green patina that copper naturally gathers. Its this aspect of the metal ore that over time gives malachite its toxic traits.
Of all the cuts you can get of malachite, some of the most visually apealing is also the most dangerious. fibouious or silky malachite, as well as all other forms of it in the raw form, is where the danger comes in when using malachite. when its been properly sealed then the risk of any kind of transfer of a toxic nature due to its high copper content is almost nothing. (i say almost because i will not speak for placed that havnt used proper methods of sealing their stones and it ends up wearing off quickly if your are interacting with the stone or wearing it often.)
Healers of all kinds have used this stone for centeries to treat everything from headaches to blood born illnesses. It tends to work wonderfully at lowering blood pressure and stress levels as well for those who properly utilize its energy!
Ive seen a lot of fakes out in the market lately and that both sadens and angers me, if your looking for a healer stone then a plastic or resin knock off just wont do you any good.
So for anoyone who may be reading this and debating this stone, be sure you learn how to spot the fakes before going into an untrusted source to get a piece.
It's also been my experiance with malachite that it holds more of the memory in how it was removed from the ground. That means if you want a well functing healing stone you also need to make sure where you purchase it are properly and ethicly sourcing their stones. If not you run the risk of your stone already coming with negitive energy attached due to improper handeling!
